In the Traditional Chinese Calendar, Springtime heralds their New Year (the year of the earth Pig which brings luck and success!), which arrived just weeks ago. In Chinese medicine, Springtime is Liver time, and it’s when our bodies WANT to purge and cleanse. This is the season where we naturally start craving cleansing foods like sprouts and beets, when we want to clean our homes and shed layers we no longer need.
Time for some Spring Cleaning!
Unfortunately, we’re not the only ones cued into the cycles of awakening right now! Springtime is the season where parasites that laid dormant inside us, wake up to reproduce new cycles of life. Yuck!
